- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed into tips
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add asparagus tips and toss to coat in butter.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
- Add lemon juice and zest, tossing to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
- Serve immediately while warm.

- Do not overcook asparagus to maintain texture and color.
- Fresh lemon juice provides the best flavor.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
