- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or ½ tsp garlic powder)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp water
- Optional: 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Place broccoli florets in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Add 1 tablespoon of water to help steam the broccoli.
- Cover with a microwave-safe lid or plate.
- Microwave on high for 3–4 minutes until tender but still bright green.
- Carefully remove from microwave and drain excess water.
- Add butter and minced garlic while broccoli is still hot.
- Toss until butter melts and coats the broccoli evenly.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add optional Parmesan or lemon juice if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
