This refreshing sparkling lemonade is made with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and fizzy sparkling water. It’s the perfect homemade drink for summer gatherings, picnics, or everyday refreshment.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 cup water (for syrup)

  • 3 cups cold sparkling water

  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves completely to make simple syrup.

  • Let the syrup cool to room temperature.

  • In a pitcher, add fresh lemon juice and cooled syrup. Stir well.

  • Add sparkling water slowly to preserve the fizz.

  • Stir gently to combine.

  • Add ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices or mint.
