A crunchy and tangy sev puri chaat made with crispy puris, tangy tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney, boiled potatoes, fresh vegetables, and topped with crispy sev. Perfect for snacks, parties, or an authentic street-food experience at home.

Ingredients

  • 20 small puris (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup boiled and diced potatoes
  • ½ cup finely chopped onions
  • ½ cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup tamarind chutney
  • ¼ cup green chutney (coriander-mint)
  • ½ tsp chaat masala
  • ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder
  • ¼ tsp red chili powder (optional)
  • ½ cup sev
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds (optional)
  • 12 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Arrange puris on a serving plate.
  • Place a small amount of boiled potato on each puri.
  • Add a sprinkle of chopped onions and tomatoes.
  • Drizzle tamarind and green chutneys over each puri.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala, cumin powder, and red chili powder (if using).
  • Top generously with sev.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro, pomegranate seeds, and a few drops of lemon juice.
  • Serve immediately for maximum crunch and flavor.

Notes

  • Assemble just before serving to keep puris crispy.
  • Adjust chutney quantities to taste.
  • Can add boiled chickpeas for protein variation.
