A soft, fluffy, and nutty peanut butter mug cake ready in just 5 minutes. Perfect for single-serving indulgence, breakfast, or a quick dessert.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or brown sugar)

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy or chunky)

  • 3 tablespoons milk

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or melted butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips or chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  • Add peanut butter, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.

  • Fold in chocolate chips or chopped peanuts if desired.

  • Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds. The cake should rise and look set but remain soft.

  • Allow to cool for 1–2 minutes.

  • Enjoy directly from the mug, optionally topped with a drizzle of chocolate or caramel.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown sugar or a mix of white and brown sugar.

  • Don’t overcook—the cake will dry out quickly.

  • Chunky peanut butter adds extra texture and flavor.

  • Optional toppings: chocolate chips, caramel, or whipped cream.
