Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 45 lemons)

  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 4 cups cold water

  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • Lemon slices (for garnish)

  • Extra mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat until sugar dissolves completely to make a simple syrup. Let it cool.

  • In a blender, add mint leaves and a little water. Blend until smooth.

  • Strain the mint mixture if you prefer a smoother drink.

  • In a large pitcher, combine lemon juice, simple syrup, mint mixture, and remaining water.

  • Stir well and adjust sweetness if needed.

  • Add ice cubes and chill for at least 10 minutes.

  • Serve in glasses with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
