Instructions

Fill a microwave-safe bowl with about ½ cup of water.

Crack the egg into a small cup first (this prevents shell pieces).

Gently slide the egg into the water. Make sure it is fully submerged.

Cover the bowl loosely with a microwave-safe lid or paper towel.

Check the egg. If needed, continue microwaving in 10–15 second intervals until whites are set but yolk is still soft.
