A refreshing and energizing matcha lemonade made with fresh lemon juice, high-quality matcha powder, and natural sweetener. Perfect for hot summer days or a healthy afternoon pick-me-up.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder

  • 1 cup cold water (divided)

  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 23 lemons)

  • 23 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to taste)

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • Optional: mint leaves, lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with ¼ cup of water until smooth and lump-free.

  • In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice and sweetener. Stir until fully dissolved.

  • Add the remaining water and mix well.

  • Fill glasses with ice cubes.

  • Pour the lemonade mixture into the glasses.

  • Slowly pour the prepared matcha on top for a layered effect, or stir for a uniform drink.

  • Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use warm water (not boiling) to dissolve matcha more easily.

  • Adjust sweetness based on personal preference.

  • For a stronger matcha flavor, increase the amount slightly.
