Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chopped jalapeños (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

  • Add butter or oil to the pan and allow it to melt.

  • Place one tortilla in the skillet.

  • Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla.

  • Add optional ingredients like onions or peppers if desired.

  • Place the second tortilla on top or fold the tortilla in half.

  • Cook for 2–3 minutes until the bottom tortilla becomes golden and crispy.

  • Carefully flip the quesadilla using a spatula.

  • Cook for another 2 minutes until the cheese melts completely.

  • Remove from the pan and let it cool slightly.

  • Cut into wedges and serve warm.

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.

  • Cook over medium heat to avoid burning the tortilla.
