Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine oats, milk (or water), and salt.

Place the saucepan over medium heat.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Add the blueberries and cinnamon.

Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are creamy.

Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if desired.

Serve warm and top with sliced almonds.
Notes

Frozen blueberries may turn the oatmeal slightly purple, which is normal.

Add extra milk if the oatmeal becomes too thick.

Toast the almonds for extra flavor.
