Instructions

  • Place the saucepan over medium heat.

  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

  • Cook for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the oats are creamy.

  • Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if desired.

  • Serve warm and top with sliced almonds.

Notes

  • Frozen blueberries may turn the oatmeal slightly purple, which is normal.

  • Add extra milk if the oatmeal becomes too thick.

  • Toast the almonds for extra flavor.
