Ingredients
-
3 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen
-
2–3 tablespoons milk (optional)
-
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Optional Toppings
-
chocolate chips
-
chopped nuts
-
peanut butter
-
berries
-
granola
Instructions
-
Peel the bananas and slice them into small pieces.
-
Place the banana slices in a freezer bag or container.
-
Freeze for at least 2–3 hours or until completely solid.
-
Add the frozen banana slices to a blender or food processor.
-
Blend until the bananas begin to break down and become creamy.
-
If needed, add a small amount of milk to help blending.
-
Continue blending until the mixture becomes smooth and soft-serve in texture.
-
Stir in vanilla extract if using.
-
Serve immediately as soft-serve or freeze for 1 hour for a firmer texture.
Notes
-
Use ripe bananas for the best sweetness.
-
A food processor often works better than a blender.
-
For scoopable ice cream, freeze the mixture for about 1 hour after blending.
